In match where both sides couldn?t hide emotions, Serbia and Montenegro won bronze medal in duel where only important thing was how to revitalize players after shocks in semi-finals.
Serbs won against Israel second time on this tournament, but this time it was obvious that guys from Israel were still in dramatic finish of previous match when they fought with Lithuanians for finale. After so many dramas, young kids couldn?t find motives in such important match like match for bronze was and lost almost without any support.
But, at the other side, Luka Pavicevic, Serbian head-coach, must be praised for psychological test he passed. This was huge test for both sides how to prepare kids for game and Luka did it in style. Important fact was that Serbian players wanted medal desperately and were ready to do anything for it.
Serbian trio Pekovic-Tripkovic-Bogdanovic had oscillations again, but this time finally someone from bench had a day and decided a winner. That was Tadija Dragicevic who scored 12 pts and collected 14 rebounds.
At the other side, in Israel, silence?
2 usual stars Kazarnovski and Lior Eliyahu were totally without concentration. Eliyahu played only 14 minutes and collected 4 fouls with only 5 pts. Kazarnovski was shooting only 36.4% - far from enough. Only Jonathan Nir was on solid level, which is little surprise, but guy scored 16 pts (+6 rebounds).
What to say about game? winner was known after 5 minutes, and after 20 minutes SCG already had +20, and that was it?
