Surely, one of the greatest Greeks talents in last decade, Antonis Fotsis, signed today for Dynamo Moscow and officially left Royal club from Madrid. This young man already won incredible number of titles: one Euroleague title (99/00), 5 domestic titles in Greece with Panathinaiokos, Spanish Champion with Real last year. Fotsis also played finale of Suproleague (00/01) when Maccabi took title and finale of ULEB Cup (03/04) when Hapoel Jerusalem was unstoppable.
Antonios Fotsis (01/04/1981, 105kg, 208cm) started career in small Ilisiakos, but he stayed there only 1 year. Athens was next destination and dream of every Greek player – Panathinaikos. In 2001 Memphis Grizzlies drafted him from 48th position and signed him immediately. He stayed in NBA only one year (averaging 3.9 points and 2.2 rebounds) and decided to return to PAO.
Last 2 years Fotsis spent in Madrid, but next destination will be great challenge.
Dynamo is selecting dream team with Dusan Ivkovic and Fotsis found his place. Ivkovic knows him very good from Greece and surely that this transfer is not some huge surprise.
In Euroleague last year, Fotsis was scoring 7.2 points + 3.5 rebounds per game.
