Olimpija and Cibona are defeated for the 2nd time in a row. Slovenian team is in serious problem with lack of financial sources, just 3 days before Euroleague start, while Cibona has lot of complications in away games. Olimpija lost at home against Hemofarm, but team is under huge stress after they stayed without Miha Zupan after Slovenian court of justice in Ljubljana cancelled his transfer from Slovan to Olimpija (administration problems), even he already started season in green shirt. Hemofarm was better team from the first quarter till the end. It is interesting that Olimpija was better team in rebounding, steals, with 10 turnovers less then Hemofarm, but they simply couldn’t win after terrible shooting night. Only 35% overall shooting was simply not enough against good team from Vrsac. At the other side, Cibona gambled and lost everything in Sarajevo against Bosna. Davor Kus and Barisa Krasic were not enough for a win against motivated home side, especially without help from Bader, McCullough and Warren. Match was decided in last quarter when team from Zagreb totally stopped and lost +5 advantage which they had before final 10 minutes. Sasa Vasiljevic played game for annals with match index 43. In “Serbo-Croatian classico”, partisan didn’t have any problems to win in Split. Perovic and Drobnjak functioned perfectly once again, and use completely advantage under both baskets. Kecman was amazing once againwith great defensive role, which was practically enough for tough away game at famous Croatian seaside. Mateo Kedzo had fantastic night for Split. In the last game for FMP, Dusko Savanovic scored 4 points and left team from Zeleznik after 11 years. “Serbian Nowitzki” signed for UNICS Kazan and left Belgrade suburb. Aleksandar Rasic and Mladen Pantic were leaders instead of him. Buducnost had its chance, but they couldn’t find solution in finish when result was breaking. Micov, Dasic and Jeretin were very good once again. In the most controversial game of the round, Helios won against Zadar after huge fight between all players on the court. Smiljan Pavic broke finger in chaos, while all other players took their part in unbelievable incident. 6. round
