TAU - Efes PilsenIn Group A, TAU Ceramica welcomed Efes Pilsen to the Fernando Buesa Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The Basque side held off a spirited Efes Pilsen comeback to retain second place in the group with a 68-65 win.

They had led 66-61 with just two minutes to go, but Cuneyt Erden and Drew Nicholas brought the visitors back.

After a Zoran Planinic steal and basket that put the hosts up by three points, Nicholas missed twice from the line with eight seconds remaining and TAU held on to improve to 3-1 in the group.

Luis Scola led Tau with 17 points. The win was their 19th in a row at home in the Euroleague.

Drew Nicholas finished with 18 points against his former team, while Efes dropped to 2-2 overall.
