The Euroleague team from Greece, who had a cold war arm race together with the local rival Panathinaikos this summer, start to react to the last signing of Sarunas Jasikevicius by the greens and continue the "NBA to Europe" atmosphere of this summer.
The last rumors says, that the reds want Chris Webber from the Detroit Pistons to be part of their squad in the next season. It appears that Olympiacos is ready to offer the player 10-12 million dollar contract for the next season. Webber, that is expected to get in the following season around 1+ million dollar and averaged 11.2 points 9.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in the last season with Detroit and Philadelphia , will be the highest paid player in the history of the Euroleague if he will accept the offer.
Another NBA player that is targeted by the team is Anderson Varejao. Varejao is popular among several European teams after reaching the NBA finals last season with Cleveland and it looks like that Olympiacos is anxious to sign one of the two, after already adding 4 other NBA players to their rosters during the summer.
