Greece - Minic new coach, Kokalis again president of Olympiacos
By Milan Lazarevic

Milan Tomic is not an Olympiacos coach anymore. He will be only a player and captain of the team (is that only?), but Milan Minic will take a main role and try to accomplish goals for this season. Minic was assistant coach last year when Tomic was appointed as a coach - at the half of last season. But, it must be known that Milan Minic won last year German Cup with Cologne. He was assistant coach on Serbian bench when Obradovic won the biggest titles with National team. Many experts think that he is one of the best ?un-known coaches? in Europe in this moment.

But, what happened?

Socratis Kokalis (old and new Olympiacos president) decided to make huge come back and return to club?s president position. He simply couldn?t find good replacement, and that was the main reason to try again against old enemies.
First thing was a question of new coach. He offered to Tomic 2 possibilities - to be a player with old contract or to be coach with much less salary.
Kokalis had huge support from Costas Angelopoulos (main financier ? owner of 35% of clubs actions ? Kokalis has 53%) and they both decided to offer this kind of rebus to Tomic.
Milan Tomic didn?t want to risk a lot, and decided to help club from the court in next season.
This will be a challenge of life for Milan Minic. It is interesting that first option was Svetislav Pesic, but he didn?t want to leave Spain.
