This match had huge overture during summer because National association decided to put these 2 teams in this position ? to play just one mach for qualification for Serbian first league. It was obvious, especially in last 2 months, that Lions Vrsac had much more ambitions to qualify; wile Zastava didn?t show some special wish.
First, Lions Vrsac bought several very experienced players (Djogo, Negovanovic), but a ?special guest star? was surely Mijailo Grusanovic, who decided to come back from retirement just for this match, and just because of his old friend Dragoslav Stepandic who coaches Lions Vrsac. Mijailo has 39 years; he played on this match 36 minutes when he left court because of 5 fouls. Oh, yeas? he scored 26 points.
This was an easy and expected win for team from Vrsac in Belgrade (neutral field). What to say when Loins had advantage 22:2 after 7 minutes.
At the end, I must say that Grusanovic plays soccer for local club when he has pause in basketball league. Amazing?
