Jamaican Ajani Williams (208, 77, FC) arrived last night in Bulgaria and signed with LukOil Academic, announced www.bulgarianbasket.com!
27-years old power forward came back in Sofia after he played here at 2000/2001, but for Levski Sofia. He is going to work again with the coach Papazov, who was leading exactly Levski at that time. Ajani even played for Bulgarian national team in a friendly tournament at 2002.
After that he stayed 2 years in Asia and 1 in Philippines.
Ajani Williams was in the NBA Summer League with Dallas Mavericks together with Simeon Naydenov , currently also with Lukoil Academic.
In October he signed with Orlando Magic but was waved right before the season in NBA started.
Just before his arrival in LukOil Academic Wiliams was on a try outs at polish Anwil Wloclawek.
The coach Titi Papazov hopes that this player will help LukOil Academic in ULEB cup, after Laudardale and Smith left. He most sure is going to play against Reflex in Belgrade at 4th january.
